The front-end API needs to connect to a server side REST-Based API to perform system calls to VFS or VDB. There are no constrain on how the server side API is implemented as long as it respects the API specification that will be detailed in the next chapter. An example implementation in Lua can be found in https://github.com/lxsang/antd-web-apps/tree/master/os or if one uses the docker image, the implementation code can be found in /opt/www/htdocs/os/.
